These photos are from a newborn shoot for a lovely family who have booked me for a first year package (three photo shoots in the first year: usually as a newborn; at six months and at one year). I love this kind of booking as I really enjoy seeing children grow and change.
This session couldn’t have gone better. Baby L was five weeks old, which is a bit older than my usual newborn shoot age but it meant that he was very alert, giving little smiles and even lifting and holding his head up a lot. He is a very strong little boy. He started off the shoot all wide eyes and kicking legs, then half way through drifted off to sleep so I was able to get close up photos of his hands and feet as well (I seem to have a thing about photographing baby feet at the moment). I don’t always get wide-awake and comfortably asleep in the same shoot so this was a really special one.
I am looking forward to meeting him again at six months old.
